Partnering with Peak Element Construction, we updated a ranch-style residence with strong architectural bones, blending rustic charm with modern sophistication. The vision was clear: maintain the home’s original aesthetic while replacing dated woodwork with something more refined and current.

The client selected Bridgewood Cabinetry’s Knotty Alder in their Koala stain, a finish that keeps the natural, rustic integrity of the wood while introducing a fresh, contemporary tone. The Koala stain is also complemented with newly stained structural ceiling beams, visually unifying the full architectural volume of the space.

The result is a timeless ranch interior that feels elevated and intentional throughout: from the kitchen and living area to the bathrooms and laundry room.

Kitchen: Before & After

By removing the warm honey tones of the original wood, the home looks elevated while still honoring its rugged mountain-ranch heritage. Key features include glass-front cabinet doors that blend functional storage with refined display, a built-in pantry with roll-out trays seamlessly connected to the wet bar, and professional-grade stainless steel appliances including a built-in refrigerator flush with the cabinetry. Integrated toe-kick lighting provides a soft floating effect that enhances the room’s elevated feel.
