We couldn’t be more excited to see the Sol Center taking shape! This incredible project is designed to be a hub for community connection, bringing together essential services and support for families and individuals across Summit County. As the building comes to life, we’re proud to play a small part in helping make it happen. Partnering with the Family & Intercultural Resource Center (FIRC), our team had the opportunity to contribute to this meaningful project by donating 100% of the cabinetry for the space. This donation was made possible through our partnership with Bridgewood Cabinetry, who joined us in contributing our co-op funds to help bring high-quality cabinetry to the Sol Center. Their generosity and collaboration made this contribution possible, and we’re so grateful for their shared commitment to community. The Sol Center will soon serve as a welcoming, accessible resource for those who need it most — and seeing the progress firsthand was such an inspiring reminder of what’s possible when local organizations and partners come together with a shared vision. We can’t wait to see this space open its doors to the community. Working alongside one of our favorite design-build partners, we helped reimagine a dated Breckenridge ski chalet into a warm, modern retreat filled with custom cabinetry and thoughtful design details. Before: A Home in Need of Fresh Vision The original home featured tired finishes, dark countertops, and raised panel cabinetry. While it had good bones and a functional layout, the design felt dated and didn’t reflect the homeowners’ style or needs. Rooms felt closed off, with limited natural flow and little connection between the living, kitchen, and dining spaces. After: Modern Comfort Meets Timeless Craftsmanship By collaborating closely with Great Divide Builders, we elevated the interiors with Bridgewood Cabinetry, including an oversized island great for entertaining, a custom matching hood vent, and integrated storage solutions that completely redefined the home’s personality. The result is a perfect balance of clean lines, natural warmth, and elevated function. Kitchen The kitchen is the heart of this transformation. By removing the upper cabinetry that once blocked the view to the living area, we created a seamless connection between the spaces. Out went the dated cabinetry and black appliances — replaced with panel-ready appliances, earthy wood accents, and crisp, bright painted cabinetry. Taj Mahal quartzite countertops (a designer favorite!) with a mitered edge beautifully complement the mix of painted and stained finishes. The blend of warm wood tones and soft neutrals adds depth and dimension without overwhelming the space. Bar & Entertaining Space The new bar and dining area reimagines a former living room and powder bath, transforming them into a functional and inviting dining space. Designed for effortless entertaining, it features floor-to-ceiling cabinetry paired with floating shelves, creating the perfect balance between display and hidden storage. A built-in beverage fridge and luminous countertop, complemented by a coordinating backsplash, bring together style, function, and sophistication. Primary Bath The primary bathroom received a complete refresh with custom vanity cabinetry and a modern tile backsplash. The toilet was relocated to accommodate for more storage in a linen closet. Warm wood tones pair with sleek quartzite countertops and an illuminated mirror, transforming the bath into a spa-like retreat. Collaboration at Its Best Working with Great Divide Builders is always a highlight for our team. Their eye for detail and dedication to quality craftsmanship made this project smooth and rewarding from start to finish. Together, we were able to deliver a home that not only looks beautiful but also functions perfectly for the homeowners’ lifestyle. ### Timeless Two-Tone Kitchen Design in White Oak & Accessible Beige This kitchen design showcases the beauty of Bespoke White Oak cabinetry paired with Accessible Beige painted upper cabinets, creating a palette that feels both timeless and enduring. The natural warmth of white oak balances seamlessly with the soft beige tone, offering an inviting atmosphere that is equal parts functional and elegant. Every detail was the result of a thoughtful collaboration between designer and client. From the cabinet finishes to the layout that supports everyday living, each choice was made with longevity, comfort, and beauty in mind. The result is a kitchen that feels grounded in classic style while meeting the demands of modern life. Two-tone cabinetry has long been celebrated for its ability to add depth and dimension to a space. Here, the design uses contrast not only to highlight craftsmanship, but also to create visual balance. The warmth of wood and the subtle neutrality of paint ensure the look will remain fresh for years to come. We’re proud to share this project as an example of the Creative Cabinetry process: listening closely, collaborating fully, and bringing a shared vision to life. It’s proof that timeless design is built on trust and partnership — as well as materials made to last. Creative Cabinetry was proud to sponsor the Summit Foundation’s annual Wine at the Mine event again this year. What better way to honor Summit County’s mining roots than with a night of wine, history, and community spirit? Our team turned it into a night out together and had an absolute blast. From the historic setting to the lively atmosphere, it was the perfect way to celebrate with friends, colleagues, and fellow community supporters. A big thank you to Country Boy Mine for hosting in such a unique and memorable venue, and to The Summit Foundation for organizing another stellar evening. It’s always an honor to support the work they do in strengthening our community and investing in the people who call Summit County home. Here’s to history, community, and striking gold with great company — we can’t wait to be part of it again next year! ### Making a Splash at the Great Rubber Duck Race Creative Cabinetry is proud to once again sponsor the Summit Foundation’s Great Rubber Duck Race on August 30th! This much-loved community tradition brings locals and visitors together every summer to support the Foundation’s incredible work across Summit County. This year, we’re entering our very own sparkly ski duck in the Business Battle Duck race — bringing a little slope style flair to the Blue River. It’s all in good fun, and all for a great cause that strengthens our community. Want to join the fun? Adopt a duck and make a splash with us! Every duck entered helps raise funds that go directly toward supporting local nonprofits, scholarships, and community initiatives. The History of Breckenridge’s Great Rubber Duck Race The Summit Foundation’s Great Rubber Duck Race first splashed onto the scene in 1987, transforming Breckenridge’s Blue River into a lively current of yellow ducks for a cause. What started as a lighthearted fundraiser quickly became one of Summit County’s most beloved annual traditions, drawing locals and visitors alike to line the Riverwalk and cheer on thousands of floating competitors. From the very beginning, the event was about more than just fun. The Duck Race was designed to raise funds for community programs, scholarships, and nonprofits throughout Summit County. In the decades since, the race has generated tens of millions of dollars for causes that strengthen the local community — everything from youth development and education to housing initiatives and health services. Over the years, the event has grown in both scale and spirit. Today, it features three distinct races: The Kids Duck Dash – a family favorite that gives the youngest supporters a chance to join the fun. The Business Battle Duck Race – where local companies compete with oversized or customized ducks to show off their creativity and community pride. The Great Rubber Duck Race – the main event, with thousands of numbered ducks racing down the Blue River toward the finish line in downtown Breckenridge. The race route typically runs through the heart of Breckenridge, allowing spectators to watch from bridges, pathways, and the Riverwalk Plaza. Volunteers are stationed along the river to guide ducks past obstacles, ensuring every entry has a fair shot at the finish. By its 38th year in 2025, the Great Rubber Duck Race had raised more than $53 million for Summit County initiatives. What began as a quirky fundraiser has become a cornerstone community event — blending Breckenridge’s mining-town spirit, mountain-town creativity, and a commitment to giving back. Each year, the race proves that something as simple as a rubber duck can create waves of impact, building community while keeping alive one of Breckenridge’s most joyful traditions. ### Creative Cabinetry Featured in Cambria Partner Spotlight We’re excited to share that Creative Cabinetry has been featured by Cambria Surfaces in their Partner Spotlight series! This home, designed in partnership with Surround Design Co., is a perfect example of how thoughtful details and inspired teamwork create timeless spaces. The kitchen is the true centerpiece of the home. Featuring white oak cabinetry paired with a custom rosemary-hued island, it blends natural warmth with refined elegance. This combination creates a welcoming focal point that feels both functional and elevated. Beyond the kitchen, the bathrooms and living spaces carry the same level of attention to detail. Each room has its own personality, yet the design language remains cohesive — sophisticated finishes, clean lines, and elements that complement the home’s overall aesthetic. A newly designed stairwell further defines the space, serving as an architectural statement that connects the different levels of the home with style and purpose.
